See your piercer, not the doctor. Cartilage piercings can take more than a year to heal, that's not all that uncommon and industrial are picky.
You should try to use two separate pieces of jewelry if you have not done that already. Often the barbell puts pressure on the holes and can slow healing a lot. I have always done better using separate CBRs for the piercing. The skin forming around the top hole is more than likely a keloid. What you should do it switch out the jewelry, use sea salt soaks daily, hot compresses and massage the area every other day with a bit of tea tree oil. Often that remedy can soften tissue and reduce the hardness and swelling of the tissue. But definitely visit your piercer and ask for their advice.

Salt water or an antibacterial soap to clean it properly. I do not know what an industrial piercing is... if it's near your eyes or mucous membranes like your nose (sinus cavity) do not use the antibacterial soap. Salt water is effective it will take longer to get rid of bacteria in the area. That is generally what prevents healing. Good luck

YES...soak it with warm water/sea salt mix. You can pick it up @ the grocery by the regular salt, but for some reason that kind is better for piercings. Soak it using a cotton bal twice a day & clean it with dial antibacterial soap at least 3 times a day. It should clear up.
If not you may just have to go back to the piercer & have him put a different kind of jewelry in.
GOOD LUCK & HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Cruel Past The haunting past lingered, so cruel As years moved on slowly pining Like fire smouldering with fuel Of nights dreaming of no dawning Will the grip hold on much tighter? Or will claws ever sink deeper? Though now gone is the monster? As the shadows still loomed sharper? Demons that in the mind could hide Leave or stay for cause they could find But with truth nary they'd abide And with light sooner they'll be blind Good skin grows o'er the darkened scars As joy blurs out the memories On darkest nights will show more stars Happy endings for the stories.
