As long as there are insecure people in the world that can ease their frustation by taking it out on others, this will happen. As long as bullies find others to pick on and belittle, this will happen. There's really no escape from this, because no matter where u are in life; there's always someone who's just waiting to put u down. They know they can get to u, and they know ur too nice to even attempt to do something about it. They know that even if u try, they can crush u; so then u feel stuck. As long as there are nice and mean ppl in the world...the mean ones will be cruel to the nice ones...until there are no more nice ppl in the world anymore. ='(

As long as they feel that someone / something (even life or even they themselves) has been unfair to them & as long as they suffer from that inferiority complex.
The "Sweeter" people attract the attention because they are percieved to be weak or too eager to please (which may be hiding other insecurities in them too).
Call a spade a spade & look em in the eye - and above to thine own self be true.. that will be the end

As long as it takes! lol! I would rather sleep knowing that I was sweet and people were cruel to me than toss and turn knowing that I was cruel to sweet people.

well some people have bad experiences in life so they decide to be hard to face the harder side of the world, but sadly this hardness overtakes their personality, their behavior, so they behave the same way(harder) to everyone.
Also sometimes people can't accept that someone can be that sweet and they think its a trap.

As long as their are "sweet" people who will allow it.
I do not believe being "sweet", kind, generous or any other "sweet" attribute is synonomous for "doormat" however I have met many people who do.
