yes.
but the inequity isn't based on any bias in the courts. the inequity is from the fact that rich people can afford better lawyers. whereas the poorest of the poor have to rely on free, court appointed lawyers.

It has always been easier to to stay out of jail if you have money. What you see and hear on the news is from one perspective and is very often biased. When you can't afford bail and must take an attorney appointed by the court, you just have to take what they give out. It's best to stay out of trouble and away from the the criminal legal system. It's the rich that make the rules for others to follow. That's true in this country as well as most other countries.

Yes, there is. Money is power these days. go back to the vietnam war and the draft, if you have 300 dollars then you don't have to join the military, otherwise you're in. You're rich, you get a slap on the wrist. How many senators or government officials went to jail for fraud or taking bribes? none, they simply step down.

No. as the "poor" as you call them have access to free legal counsel as rich has to pay for it, who is shafted as usual though is the middle class who pays the bills for the low life welfare scum that generally require more legal counsel because general "poor" are more often involved in criminal activities or caught up in activities that require legal counsel.
Just because they are "poor" does not absolve them from being responsible members of society.
