OK, yeah, we all have a good laught whenever the guy mispronounces a word or screws up a sentense or whatever, but you've gotta remember that pretty much every word he says is taped so that eager tv stations can put mistakes on air and call him an idioot. I know if someone put on tv every stupid mistake I ever said, they could make an hour-long nightly program devoted just to me, and I don't have the pressure of knowing millions if nor more people are listening to me. Are there any other presidents famous for making some of the mistakes and mispronunciations of of Dubbya?

Bush senior made a few linguist flubs, but W is the king. I don't really think it's all unintentional. It's part of his just-plain-folks act. Bush poses as the simple, half educated Texas millionaire next door, the guy we'd all like to have a beer with, and to his cynical mind, this means a person who mispronounces many words and who generally has a very limited vocabulary.

I've never heard anyone, ANYONE, sound as stupid as GW. None of the other presidents I have experienced have given me the impression they have a linguistic handicap. I have also never heard of another president who was so bad at communication.

That doesn't mean there wasn't someone who couldn't speak worth crap (or that there weren't other idiot presidents). It just means I am not aware of them and I don't think any of the recent ones are even in the same league as GW on that count.

He wins!! The crazy thing is he has a speach writer but then decides to just WING IT!! And that is ALWAYS a bad move on his part. Does he even realize that some of the words he uses aren't real words?? He just combines a bunch and hopes that people get the general idea!! What a GOOBER!

All presidents have had verbal gaffes, but Dubya seems to be leading, far and away, with statements that make no sense or are poorly constructed and badly thought-out, on a regular basis

In my lifetime, I have never heard any other president come close to mangling English as he does.
