Make sure you've made all the proper connections on your motherboard. Check again using the motherboards manual.

The CPU has a separate power connection; make sure you connect that. It's a plug with four pins arranged in a square. See your motherboard manual.

You have faulty/incompatible component on your computer. I'd guess it's the memory. Try to take all of them off and putting back one by one to see which one is the problem:

1. Video Card
2. Memory Card
3. Hard Drive
4. Floppy Drive

Also you may incorrectly connect the power switch to the mother board.

Check for "beep codes" in your motherboard manual. Those beeps are done to help you find those issues.
