My birthing class told me to pack maternity clothes because you'll look about 4-5 months pregnant. I would have to agree with that. I gained a total of 26 lbs. with my pregnancy and I would say that I looked about 4-5 months when I left the hospital. Don't be surprised if your feet and ankles are still swollen when you leave the hospital. I had the worst kankles when I was pregnant and my OB assured me they would go away after I delivered. He neglected to tell me it would be about a week or so. I would suggest bringing a robe and slippers with non-skid bottoms because they will have you up and walking a bit in the hospital. You might not want to bring any nice gowns because there is a lot of bleeding after delivery and although they give you diaper like pads, you will most likely soak through them, so it's better to ruin their gowns than your own. Best wishes for a healthy delivery and baby. I hope I didn't scare you with the gory details because having a baby is a truly awesome experience, which is why most women rank it above their own wedding.

Well it just depends on the person really. I know that I looked like I was about 3-4 months pregnant, but I took a few different things to wear home for that day. I would probably just pack something that is comfy and cute like a warm-up outfit. I know this personally because that's what I'm going to pack in about 9 weeks from now.

Well I put on 28 lbs. and I delivered early ( at 35 weeks)and most was belly ( some in my butt..lol) but I looked about 5 months...kinda a pudge!! Just pack some sweats or jogging clothes. You can wear a t-shirt fine.
I was back to pre- pregnancy size at 2 months ( the baby was 2 months)

They told me to pack pregnancy clothes you wore when you were 6 months. That's average... ppl are different and vary, so I'd stick with that to be safe. I had a big belly when I left- not too big, but I had a c-section, so there was a lot of air in my stomach. I packed velour pants I had-very soft and comfy, with a tank top and the jacket that matched the pants. Don't forget a robe- I'm so glad I remembered one, because I used it to put over me to get up walking after the c-section.
Goodluck and congrats.

I looked like I was just showing a little bit like I was at 5 months 3 days after I had my son. In the first week most of the baby belly came off.

They say that after you give birth you still look like your 6 months pregnant. So pack loose clothing nothing tight or anything. Yoga pants are the best so if you have any of those I would take a pair or two along.

I was flat as a board after I gave birth, but a lost weight when pregnant. However I had a pair of those adjustable maternity pants with the button holes in the elastic. Those were great. Or pants with a drawstring that way it won't matter how big or small you are.

You will still look 8 or 9 months pregnant. Just pack your maternity clothes. It takes a while to not look pregnant anymore. Congrats and good luck!
