Sealing wax. Go to a rubberstamp store or a stationery store for the wax and the seal.
I've also found sealing wax in my mom's desk (she still hasn't missed it after 15 years), an old desk in a garage I was cleaning out, and my grandma's desk after she passed away, a candle factory, and Barnes & Noble.

I've found both sealing wax and initials, as well as a limited number of other designs at both Joann Fabrics and Michael's.

The metal design is usually an initial. I think I've seen these at Hallmark stores in the past.
