Earlier a young mother asked whether she should name her baby girl Edam or Bethelgeuse (or something in that vein) so I would say that yes, Elizabeth is a perfectly lovely name - for a parrot or anyone else

I love the name Elizabeth (my name) but I don;t think it works on a parrot. But if you like it go for it.

its ok, call her lizzy or "sheghav" which means opening of the heart in arabic/ i had an african grey parrot, all he would ever say was coo coo, so we named it coo coo, but she flew away :(, or name her after someone or sumthing really special in ur life becuz parrots are very beautiful and special animals.

Depends on what kind I think you should name it something native to the country or region she's from.

No, sounds too human. Go with a name like Tiki....or somethin' more exotic. You don't want your pets nickname to be Beth!
