It's hard to say that a team is a fluke when they go on an 8 game winning streak including the Super Bowl and on top of that enter the playoffs as the 6th seed and take to the road knocking off the 1, 2 and 3 seeds which has never been done before in NFL history. You can't deny them of their Super Bowl just because this year isn't going their way.
The Steelers have had a lot of tough breaks this year with costly turnovers at critical times of the game, injuries and a lot of off field distractions with Cowher buying his new home in North Carolina and Ben having his motorcycle accident. The Steelers will be back next year, you can count on that!!!

How were they a fluke? They did something no other NFL team has ever done before. They went through three straight teams ON THE ROAD nonetheless. Many people had already proclaimed that the Colts would get to the Superbowl and the Steelers took care of them. Last year the Steelers were built for the road and went into everybodys house and took them out of the hunt. When people tell me last years Steelers were a fluke, I tell them well lets see your team do that.

Cry on little girls!! The Steelers beat everybody & did it on the road. The Colts'couldn't win even with the damn refs givin' them the game on a silver platter(the interception that was ruled no catch?) They killed Jake the Fake & the Bungals got smacked in the mouth ,as usual, by the more physical team. The Seaducks can cry all they want about the refs. The refs didn't stop their running game, the refs didn't drop all those passes, the Refs didn't screw up the clock management & even if the refs take away Ben's TD, the Steelers still win 14-10.

No Way!!!....The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the deepest teams and one of the best coached teams in the league!!...C'mon now...no team has ever done in any season what the Steelers did!!!...
This year has been a breakdown of special teams blunders...they have a lot of rookies which need game experience and Big Ben has suffered a lot this season with the accident, the appendectomy and concussion. If you doubt them look at how they beat the Chiefs, The Saints, and The Browns!!
Willie Parker set a franchise record last night with 232 Yards rushing!!.....the system is there....they just need to keep the machine well oiled!!!....They should be leading the AFC North this year!!!...they are still a GREAT team!!!,.....with some loose ends to tie up,...which has already started to happen...don't doubt them now...everyone did last year and they won the Super Bowl!!

how are you going to count number championships earlier the NFL merger? communities in common words had to play twelve different communities. it extremely is slightly unfair. Ben isn't a astounding passer, it extremely is authentic. yet, he can boost the play extra perfect than everybody else interior the NFL at the same time as the pocket breaks down. way extra perfect than Eli. i'm drained of human beings announcing that in common words QBs that bypass for three hundred+ yards a sport are good QBs. Ben has extra perfect numbers than Bradshaw did in his first 5 years. human beings evaluate Bradshaw between the greats. The Steelers are only an quite resilient crew. They win at the same time as it concerns. convinced, they lost to a pair good communities very last 12 months. yet in the journey that they were that good, why were they no longer interior the great bowl. Any given Sunday, some thing can ensue. often times its no longer the perfect that win, its the neatest.

amen to preacher! If you wanna call anything a fluke it's this year, the steelers are a kick *** team and fortunately for the rest of the league they've had a little bit of bad luck this year, so enjoy it while you can cuz next year they'll be back!

I think they were. If they hadn't of given Palmer a cheap shot, then they wouldn't have even made it past the first round. Plus, look at the Steelers team this year. It is barely any different than last year and look at their record. The Bus' absence can't hurt them THAT much.

they had a running game and didnt ask Big Ben to win any games for them and they had a good defense. they got lucky in the postseason though. playing Indy which that game was over if Harper would had ran down the sideline instead of cuttin up in field and letting himself get tackled and then the down fall of Vanderjact began. then they played the broncos with Jake Plummer, that right there with plummer is enough. the refs helped them out in the superbowl. they should of been out since the first round. to win the superbowl in my eyes you need a good team and you need luck on your side.
