Since a noun is a person, place or thing...We need to change these wrods a bit:

Compare to Comparison
Inquire to Inquiry
Injure to Injury
Complain to Complaint

You couldn't figure out those words because they are not nouns they are verbs.

1.compare-The verb is compare, the noun is comparison.

2.inquire-The verb is inquire, the noun is inquiry (i think).

3.injure-The verb is injure, the noun is injury.

4.complain-The verb is complain, the noun is complaint.
