You actually should wait about 4-6 months for a nostril piercing before changing the jewelry. The reason is that a tube of flesh forms inside all piercings, this is called a fistula. Often, long periods of time are required for the fistula to form and become strong enough to block out infection and germs. If the jewelry is removed or changed too soon, the fistula will start to close and can make wearing jewelry impossible in some cases (at which point you would have to re pierce the area) Changing jewelry too soon can cause infection, keloids, overall pain and can set back the healing period for a piercing. Just because the OUTSIDE looks healed and doesn't hurt, doesn't mean the INSIDE is fully healed. Cartilage needs time to heal, so give it that.

Better safe than sorry, listen to your piercer and wait.

Yes, like you, I got impatient with mine, and got a really pretty stud for my birthday. I did not wait the specific amount of time that I was told, and took it out too early to put a different one in. I had a very hard time getting it in. This was about 2 years ago. I had to take my nose stud out for my new job last year, and my hole is still not closed. This is most likely because I didn't let it heal properly years back. Don't regret it!

I've been told that you should wait between 3-6 months. I know its very tempting to get something that looks better but trust me its not worth the infection. I've done that before so I speak from personal experience.

i don't understand approximately cartilage however the tummy button takes some months even an entire 365 days for some human beings until its totally healed and could get contaminated fairly right away yet i replaced mine after like very almost 2 months and that i did not have any issues (it wasn't totally healed yet i've got been given bored of the only i had and my bf offered me an extremely fairly one i in my view had to placed directly to the sea coast) purely be sure you clean the tummy ring you wanna put in and the hollow and then placed it in as long as its not in like the 1st actual few weeks while the piercing remains very clean and uncooked nonetheless.

I was told like many other piercings, that at least 3 months, you don't want the jewlery to be rejected. Your body needs to get used to the new piercing.

Yes... you need to make sure it heals properly and adjusts to that new hole in your nose :) Taking it out and putting a new one in early can cause infection... so def. better to just wait! Trust me... i've been there

the healing process, i have mine done also. it takes longer for it to heal on the inside, so about 2 months is right. and you dont want to take it out before than, its hard to put back it due to the healing process.lol. it all deals with the healing process.
