How long should I wait before getting a blood test??

I am now 4 days late and I am testing negative on Clearblue Easy pregnancy test. I have been pregnant twice before, one resulting in a gorgeous daughter and the other was a miscarriage. Both times I had a positive with home pregnancy test. If I do not start my period, how long should I wait to get a blood test????

I would get a blood test now. If you are 4 days late then a blood test would most definitely tell you because blood tests can register lower amounts of HCG in a person's system than a home pregnancy test can...A lot of times blood tests can tell you are pregnant days before you miss your period. Yes, a blood test would tell you for sure, even though an over the counter should pick up on the pregnancy hormone already. I would wait a little longer, and please realize that stress can cause you to be up to 2 weeks late on your period, so relax and let time do the math!

Wait until you're a week late. Thats what I would do.

Typically though, you're late enough to get a reading on a blood test, which is more sensitive than a home test.
