I think this was a George Shrub thing. I had heard of it, but I never got any check. Any ideas as to why some people got $ and some didn't. Thanks very much for any info.

The refund was a result of a Bush Administration income tax cut, effective In 2001 the rebate checks of $300 to individuals and $600 to couples . You would have had to file your income taxes in order to receive anything.

Maybe it was an income tax refund and maybe you didn't pay in too much tax?
Maybe it was a tax rebate when the tax was lowered and maybe you never filed?
Maybe the government doesn't know you exist?
Why did they get checks? Any clue?
