I feel I can't do this question justice whatever I answer, but I just had to say that it's a damned good question, and I'm glad SOMEBODY asked it!
You know, the term anti-Semitism was originally coined as a scientific-sounding alternative to Jew-hatred (Judenhass). So back in the old days, someone could say "oh, I'm not a Jew-hater, I'm just anti-Semitic". Of course, now that "anti-Semitism" is considered crass, that's not kosher either. I see a lot of people using claims of "anti-Zionism" in much the same way today. I wouldn't be so presumptuous to declare that all opposition to the Jewish state, or even the idea of it, is inherently bigoted towards Jews - but there's no question that a lot of it is. And a lot of people take comfort in that they can clothe their own racism in the garb of political discontent.
If you're in the mood for a real eye-opener, I would recommend Aish Ha-Torah's exposition on the subject, simply entitled "Why The Jews?" It's written from the perspective of religiously-observant Jews, and I think it's definitely worth your time.

Enjoy, and get ready to have your mind blown. (:

The Jews have always been the brunt of things. The are the "killers" of Jesus (although I thought the Roman were involved as well) and the entire usury problem (even though the Catholic and Christian kings got a cut on the action) and that horrible book "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" which purports how the Jewish people will take over the world
Perhaps the Muslims might take over from the Jews, but it just seems to be OK

Naaa... Anti-French racism is this only one everybody agree with. As for racism against Jewish it is the only one to have a name of it's own : anti-semitism (it is misleading though since Semitic is often use for Jewish alone but encompass Arab people too - it doesn't stop morons accusing Arabs of anti-semitism, probably the same guys who say that there is no french word for entrepreneur...).
I don't know for America, but here in Europe there are still ugly traces of anti-semitism which I found very sad. But some Israeli people are not helping by calling antisemitic any one who dare criticizing their government. Of course they are facing an enemy who want to destroy them so we shouldn't expect them to lay down easy. But they're doing pretty atrocious stuff of their own, and they should accept that critics are not all Nazis.
Any one who think that the Jews are drama queens should learn their history - and not just the 2nd world war atrocities. Through times, Jews have be martired at the hands of Christian wile paradoxically enjoying much better relations with the Muslim world (until the creation of Israel). Israel exist because of the incapacity of the West to protect its Jewish population. But why should the Palestinian have to pick-up the bill on their own?

Racism isn't a "answer" to at least some thing. neither is it "loose speech" as you suggested. Its not even a huge deal anymore of route. only study a number of those questions and solutions right here at Yahoo. each and anybody is brushing off racism as only a comeback that they say someone had because they did not like their comments. properly if a white human being calls Obama a "monkey", is that not racism? Why a monkey? Why not a fowl? they arrive in all shades. even as one thinks of a monkey, they imagine of a black animal that swings from timber with sticking out lips. If any animal they could use for him, this is a Zebra. not that I condone absolutely everyone being categorized an animal, yet i'm only providing an social gathering. Racism replaced into VERY glaring interior the severe election. absolutely everyone that announces that it wasn't is mendacity to themselves. The media replaced into talking about Obama being "black", and the established public replaced into too. They dug into his history more advantageous than i have ever considered them do to the different candidate. yet yet human beings will attempt to inform you that "we are all individuals". properly if so, why are they residing on that guy's colour so d@m a lot? Why save stating his colour each and each and every of the time? absolutely everyone with 2 eyes can SEE his colour! you do not favor absolutely everyone to inform you. Racism can not be killed. It multiplies with each and each and every new era. attributable to the era previously them.

Racism of any kind is not "politically correct", against Jews or anybody else for that matter, because prejudges people based on something other than their personal character. What's a better - a Jewish medical scientist or a Christian serial killer? Racism is wrong and shows the ignorance of the user.

I think that because the Jews are an easy target that so many people pick on them.
You are right, no form of racism is correct no matter who it is aimed against.
I also would like to see everyone getting along but i honestly think i am living in la-la land if i truly believe this is going to happen.
May your god go with you.

I truly believe that in part, it's because Jewish people need to be more vocal about it, just like the 1960s when the blacks were. It's unacceptable to me that racism exists at all--my wife is muslim and I'm a Jew. Her family (in India) doesn't approve of the marriage and speaks to me as if I were islamic with their 'alhumdulehlah" etc., so i answer in yiddish for their good health. screw them--if i can take it so can they. oh, i am not a religious jew, but i support the fact that we should all be respected as human beings.

Jews having faced persecution for many generations; more than any other race or ethinicity are Gods' chosen people.
Through them, it was prophecied that the messiah would come, and unfortunately this world is dictated by the help of Satan....whom will do anything to destroy Gods' chosen race/people.
Jews will always be persecuted merely for the reason that they are Jews; but spiritually speaking, it is because Jews are Gods' chosen people. This will continue, until that day.........there is no stopping it, until someone brings peace in the East(literally). It is then that the Jews will look at this figure, whom brings peace, as their messiah......the steps are already taking place.
I am saddened that Jews are persecuted, but as long as there is sin, and indifference in this world.....there will always be hate.

the premise of your question is completely untrue. It is far more politically correct to speak or act against gypsies and Irish travellers, and other such groups. To be perfectly candid, the statement of your premise in your question actually contributes to negative feelings toward Jews. It feeds the perception that Jews are concerned only about themselves.

I never understood this. Hopefully someone could clear that up.
The Jews have faced more persecution than most. They are consistently facing it today all over the middle east. I wonder....in the middle east why there is such a hatred of Jews? Because Israel is a far more sucessful state?
This confuses me.
