I would suggest a book by Silver Raven Wolf... she is great for newbies, and those "strange colors" is probably your aura, try to find out what color it is...

As a practicing witch I will tell you the truth. It is much better to study the religion first. If you don't know what to study then I would suggest looking up things and authors on the net. Wicca is not necessarily witchcraft so make sure you know what kind of witchcraft you want to practice. This is a religion just like any other religion with different people practicing different specific areas. I am a Celtic witch and probably the closest thing to a Wiccan without being wiccan.
I would also go to a metaphysical bookstore in your area and talk to them about your curiousity. If you are serious about all this they will be able to point you in a specific direction that you might be interested in.

not really though,u have to learn of the craft.it takes alot of knowledge to do witchcraft spells, and it takes time to get good at it.the fact that witchcraft is so powerful that u have to use your mind and believe in it.if u dont believe that witchcraft is real, than u wont have no luck with nothing.u have to treat witchcraft as a friend,or a special guidance.witchcraft is not about casting spells, and hurting ppl.that is why people today think that it is evil.witchcraft is a religion of earth.it is practiced to worship the Gods and Goddesses.it is about using nature through power and mind.it is about getting to know the God or Goddess of your choice and loving them as a God or a Goddess.that is what witchcraft is about.not to cast evil hexes or spells on ppl or cast a spell to get money,or the love of your dreams,or get whatever u want.i hope that u think about what u want to do with witchcraft in general.it isnt a toy to play with.it is a religion and a popular religion.hope u do the wise thing that lets u know what to do that is right.
Blessed be,
The Morrigan)O(
P.S.
i have also added a site that u can go to learn more about it.
read it and decide what u think is the truth of withcraft.

Well, yeah, we all start somewhere.
Find all the info you can (Llewellyn publishes some really good books on spells and witchcraft) and study BEFORE you try anything.
You don't have to be a witch to cast spells, but you do have to respect the power or it can cause you a whole lot of grief.

well you have to learn, thats how you start, usually the book all have the same general idea but most say different things, you have no friends or anyone thats done it? you also have to feel comfortable doing it also, and remember witchcraft is not part of satanism, it is from nature. it works better with 4 people, one for each element, Water, Fire, Earth, Wind, so whosever birthday it is must fall in to the catergory of those, like scorpio is water and so on and so on, the spells will work best on full moons, dont have to always do them on one but works best...well its alot to explain, like i said if you want a general idea, go to the library to look at a few different books.

Being a witch is simply being someone who chooses to sculpt their own reality. If you choose to have a good day, almost like a positive affirmation, then you will create that reality. So, if you want to be a witch, then simply decide to choose your own thought over that of some organized religion.

I would study the religion, but since the author of Harry Potter put real spell in her book, and unknown kids and people could end uo doing who knows what to themselves if they use them, I really don't know what to tell you. the author of Harry Potter even has Christians believing that her books are OK. GET REAL!!! Anyone who professes to be a witch or in your case a worlock can make up any spell and it will work. The real truth is, whose magic are you really using??? Wiccans claim it is from nature, but it is really from satan, he tempted Eve with knowlege and he tempts Wiccans with power thru magic. The last wiccan i knew who used borrowed his powers ended up levitating a car, cool right? wrong. It ended up moving towards him and falling on him, killing him, but you don't have to believe me.

read and study before you apply any ritual it is possible but i would not advise going in blindfolded, if at all possible find a coven or someone who is a practicing witch they will be able to help, a good statrting point for grimoires and arcane texts is academyofsorcery.com. seek and you shall find.

That's an easy one. Read all the Harry Potter books backwards three times, pee on a frog at midnight on February 29th, then listen to Michael Jacksons Beat It 25 times in one sitting.
Then you're in!!! Congratulations!

Search the web for a webring on Wicca or Wiccan. Here's three of them:

Yes, it means something if your sister sees colors when you piss. I don't know what it means though. Good luck.
