Okay, I really love this country...a lot. but what makes me angry, is that when people started to say (mostly celbrities) "im moving out of this country if Bush is elected" but notice. NONE HAVE MOVED OUT! and what makes me angry is that on the poular show "Oprah" she shows only the democrats opinions. I think that if she wants more people to watch her show, she should have two sides debating against one another.
My mom and Dad are fighting in the war, and I Love them for that, they are serving there country and risking there lives each day. i dont know what their points of veiw on politics are, but if theres were different from mine, i wouldnt care. i would still love them.
I was watching this show where this person was interveiwing Bill Clinton. And Clinton said "If i were still president we would be having 400 troops fighting in that war trying to find him" but..arent the democrats veiws on war having every person back in the U.S?! i dont know whats going on.

I took Clinton's remark to mean the he would have the troops out finding Osama.. not fighting in Iraq. (I guess it's all in the interpretation) Not all Democrats were against the war at first. Some of them now say they are against it because Bush lied to them.
As for the celebrities... no one should have ever believed they would do what they said. All it is to most of them is more publicity.
My parents don't have the same political views I do either, it doesn't change how I feel about them but I don't really think that's the point. I think that the men and women who volunteer to protect our country are brave. And I am sure that not all of them agree with what's going on. They are simply doing their job. I don't think that being against the war means that you are not supporting the troops. I think it means that you are against the US being in Iraq.
As for Oprah and her views. I think a lot of TV stations and shows do that based on their political views. Maybe Oprah doesn't care about the other view. Maybe she doesn't care about the ratings. Maybe she's not in it for a debate. I think you'd have to ask her to get the real reason.
I love this country as well but I do not like a lot of the things we are standing for lately. I don't like the element of fear that the government keeps projecting on the general public, I don't like that Americans as a whole are to sensitive, I don't like that you can't really speak your mind without someone starting an argument or calling you names, I don't like that church and state aren't really separated anymore.
Those are my opinions and those opinions are my right just as your opinions are yours.

Your question asks one thing but your diatribe says another. I am a Democrat and I like this party because it believes govt can help overcome the inequalities that come from a capitalist form of society. In short we like to take money from the rich and give to the poor. We also really care about the enviroment and if the corporations are polluting we don't like to cut them any slack! As for troops in Iraq It should be said If Al Gore had won we wouldn't be in Iraq wasting our time money and most importantly peoples lives. We would be in Afghanistan where all this mess started there we could and still can make a difference. It is very probable that the real cause of unrest in the region poverty and the occupation of palestine would be addressed full time and Israel wouldn't have been allowed to make an fool of itself by invading Lebanon again. As for your precieved liberal bias in TV you must be over looking a lot of conservative shows and a lot of those shows just shout down an liberal that tries to get their point across to them why? Because they want to keep conservative viewers like you watching not because they believe in the rightness of their cause. PS I wouldn't go to oprah or any other talk show or talk radio for real debate or information as they slant things to make there audience happy. When the audience is happy so are the advertizers and when their happy the media people make money. So in short don't take this crap to seriously.

The Tea celebration pass has no significant management yet is composed of a loose association of national and local communities that verify their very own systems and agendas. The Tea celebration pass has been called an occasion of grassroots political interest, besides the fact that it has additionally been called an occasion of astroturfing. The Tea celebration's maximum referred to national figures contain Republican politicians including Dick Armey and Sarah Palin. As of 2010, the Tea celebration pass isn't a countrywide political celebration, yet has counseled Republican applicants. A Gallup pollexhibits very almost eighty% of Tea Partiers evaluate themselves to be Republicans

I'm a registered Republican and consider myself a moderate. I find the right wing of my party to be almost as annoying and those whiny Democrats who have been all over this site with their cheesy ideas. I served as a combat infantryman in Viet Nam and completed a career as a Police Officer so I am thankful for and grateful to your parents for their service. I'm sorry that the weak-in-the-knees among us are giving the terrorists and murders the opinion that they are winning and that America can be beaten.

Unfortunately what the politicians say in public and what they actually do are usually two differrant things. Both parties are becoming more and more alike, answering to and doing the biding for large corporations. The will of the public becomes lost on them, as scurry around from fund raiser to raiser for the next election. So right now I find myself without a party that represents me.

I refuse membership in any political party, orgainzed religion, or biker gang... I prefer to be independent, however I do vote. I hate to hear anyone who has not been to war comment on how to handle one-
I thank your parents for thier service and I thank YOU for handling the hardest part of the whole mission- being at home waiting for them to return. My advice to you is to question everything you are told and make your own decisions in life and not be led around by a party or group.
Hope all goes well for your family!

I am of no party. I generally agree more with the republicans because of there views on moral issues and their views on taxes. I will vote for who ever has the candidate with the backbone to do what is right. God bless your parents and know that I will support our troops and the politicians that I feel will do like wise.

If I were american, I would be a republican, but I'm canadian, so I'm called a tory. Either way it's conservative. I agree with you about the celebrity soap box issue: it's annoying and they should stick to making movies.
