Yes! Or rather, yes and no... it depends somewhat on what kind of surgery you're having. If it's anything that might be considered "major," then you can expect to get your period within about a day of the procedure. I had my appendix out a year ago, and even though they were able to do just a small incision and I went home two days later, any major event like that makes your body freak out and try to take care of itself, rather than using up energy preparing for a pregnancy. So it isn't really the anesthetic that does it - but if you're having a big enough procedure to require it, than you probably will see some effect on your cycle.
