We are just starting to date and I have no idea what to get him for christmas! EEK!. My girlfriends suggested "manly things" as they called it. Watches, colgne or something. I think colgne says a little to much. Any ideas?

In all honesty, what I would want if I knew my girlfriend was strapped for cash, is very simple. I coupon book. Even a very innocent one, that you make up. One coupon would be a "Get out of Jail Free" card for having to go to a chick flick when he doesn't want to. Another coupon might be a car wash in a bathing suit for summer time. Another suggestion might be a coupon that allows him to watch Sports Center all night without complaint. Make it last all year. It costs nothing and shows him you care about doing nice things for him.

Oh, and as far as CDs go, if you have $10 this is not enough for a CD without d'loading the songs. Forget about it. No real man wants sappy stuff with "your song" on it. It will only last a month or two before it gets lost under the car seat.

If you're not sure than call his mom. See is there is a book he is really wanting to read. Maybe ask his friends. I am in the same boat but I have been married for 7 years.

Depends on what your man is into.
Maybe you should get him a CD that he doesn't have...
or make him a care package with a whole lot of different stuff in it! (including a card maybe?) I'm not sure how serious involved you two are...

Also, you never can go wrong with a gift card!

If you just started dating, I would thing a modest gift like a card and some homemade cookies would do just fine. Heck, homemade cookies are always a good gift.

How long have you guys dated? The unspoken rule is if you haven't dated for long get him a nice card with a small gift. Example, CD of his favorite group that he dosn't have,

I really like homemade gifts. Instead of buying him a CD, I think that you should make him a CD. Make a nice cover for it.
