I wish I knew. Now that I am retired, I seem to have become not a lady of leisure, but a lady of sloth.
The only thing I can suggest is to set a list of tasks that must be accomplished in each day and do not allow yourself to goof off until those tasks are completed. Be reasonable and don't make the list unrealistically long. Do not allow yourself to be distracted by other, less urgent, more enjoyable, easier chores, but do include one chore that you actually enjoy. Do it last.
At the beginning, you, like me, will likely have more stuff that needs to be done than is possible, but if you keep it up, eventually you will catch up. You can make your list more challenging as time goes by and you get more comfortable with a structured day.
Having a ton of stuff that should have been done hanging over your head each day is depressing.
It really is nice to be able to sit in your chair at the end of the day and know that you have spent your time constructively instead of just pissing the day away.

OH, I think we suffer from the same disease ^^ I've got my exams in two days and look at me, I'm sitting in front of my computer, watching videos and answering stupid questions.
chronic lazyness and lack of self-discipline are nearly impossible to overcome.
Do like me, enjoy what life gives you and hope for the best.
In the end you'll have two options:
1) get your lazy *** outta bed
2) commit suicide (social suicide or the actual one)
Personally, I just can't be bothered to get outta bed so do like me and reach for the razor.

Give yourself a time limit, if you tell yourself you have to clean the kitchen in a half an hour, (none of this meandering around, washing a couple dishes, and then goofing off again) then reward yourself when you do the job, for example, get on the internet for a half an hour. Also, discipline yourself when you dont succeed in your aim. Do the basics on how you train a dog to go pee outside, reward him when he goes outside, punish him when he doesn't.

first off you can recognize the word lazy in a different manner. Lazy doesn't mean you don't want to do anything. Lazy means we don't want to help you do anything. Its just an ignorant excuse for us not to help you. Self-discipline is an acquired trait that someone didn't want to bother teaching you. Unfortunately now you are old enuff that you have to want them to teach you so it makes things a little more difficult. So how do you learn self-discipline? you put yourself at the discretion of someone that you can trust and tell them you want them to put a foot in yer azz and guide you thru the process of learning it. I got a good pair of boots btw. but if you buck me or anyone else its over because you are an adult and you can buck whoever you want to now.

"get a haircut, get a real job". :)

Really, I think laziness and lack of self-discipline is easy to overcome. "Just do it"....force yourself to do things. I used to be a bit the same way, but found great self-satisfaction at accomplishments and stick-to-it-iveness. It is fun, now

Set a goal. Start with an easy one. Make a list of steps that you need to do to accomplish your goal. Make a schedule for accomplishing each step. Stick to your schedule! Give yourself small rewards for each step you achieve.

Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired.
