I want to buy the Dolce & Gabbana cell phone from motorola.com
if the cell phone is unlocked how do you get it to work on the Cingular network to search the web and such?

You can purchase this phone through Amazon.com as well, unlocked. While all you have to do to make calls with an unlocked phone is put in the Cingular SIM, an unlocked phone will not let you access the web out of the box. You will first have to program it for the correct addresses to communicate with Cingular's GPRS servers.

Hey M.C, Geoff is right you can use the unlocked phone to make calls but you would have to bring it to a cell phone store where they can configure your device to the Cingular internet service, I know with T-Mobile service it can be done, but i'm not sure with cingular. Best of luck!

if it is already unlocked it will work correctly when you put in the sim card, it will then go through cingular.
