My fav is Spider-Man. He was the first hero to be still be in high school, which was always the case with sidekicks. He had all the problems of normal people, girl trouble, being unpopular, being alone, and etc plus dealing with would be conquerors. Not only that, but he also takes on bad guys that were in Superman's or Silver Surfer's league. He may have powers, but he can only lift something as heavy as a car, barely, and even his spider-sense can glitch from time to time, like with Venom, the Jackel, or if Green Goblin uses that gas that can knock it out for awhile, but still take them on. Batman has money to get him all that gadget, Spider-Man has to sell pictures to make money, then buy supplies for his webbing, uniform, clothing, food, and rent. Spidey is the man.

Dr. Doom.
Like batman he is human, but where batman wallows in just bieng a great martial artist and crime solver with skills on a par with great detectives like Frank Drebbin and inspector Sledge Hammer, Doom is one of the most powerfull characters in the Marvel (and DC if he were in DC) universe because of his willpower and intelligence.
Comparing batman to doom is like comparing a child building with lego to stephen hawkings or albert einstien.
Doom has overcome more pain and torment in his life than any other character and still come out on top.
He has conquered the world and brought about an age of utopia with NO CRIME, NO POVERTY, NO WAR. No other superhero could say they have done that.
he has tricked mephisto into releasing his captive mother's soul and
Saved reed richard's wife from death by finding a cure for her, thus completing all his life goals (proved himself the better of the two, as reed's wife's life is now a constant statement of doom's success and reed's failure, showing doom to be the more intelligent).
Doom has technology far advanced of many many characters in marvel and dc.
He is also the second greatest sorcerer on the planet. He combines them both but even with the smallest bit of nothing, just by himself and his own will he will win, AND always be in control of the situation.
His people love him and in future stories he attains immortality.
Doom is the only hero who ultimately means well, but has a fatal flaw that is his ego. He is the only original comic character that truly compares with the depth and realistic portrayal of classic literature.

My favourite superhero is easily Batman. He´s human for one thing, which gives the rest of us hope. He does what he does through sheer will and discipline. He is the realest of all super heroes. The fact that he has no super powers makes the fact that he does what he does through more choice than obligation. Can you imagine superman or spiderman living normal lives? With their powers they are forced to do what they do.
I think Batman is the darkest and most complicated and the villains he faces are the baddest.

Bart Allen (The Flash)
Bart Allen is the forth and current representation of the Flash and I love him. He's been my favorite character since he was Impulse and his role in Young Justice. Just something about his hair to his impulsiveness endeared him to me and it's interesting to see a character that ages. I would have liked for him to stick around a nice young age for a while longer but I guess speedsters get spent quick.

Batman and V for Vendetta.
Because they don't NEED any stinking super powers. They use their vast intellect, their fierce determination, deadly skills as fighters, KEWL gadgets, nice costumes, and lots of money.
What's not to like?

I have to go with Batman. Sorry, but nothing beats the Bat-Mobile! It's awesome! Nope, not even "Spidey Sense"!
Unless of course The Terminator counts...?
