Gibsons is an obvious city variety selection. complicated reservation. Upscale Italian- for rather upscale, id think of of Spiaggia. Carmine's and Rosebud on Rush are good too. Tavern on Rush has good food and a calming vibe.

I always enjoy La Viollete in the Northlake/Emory section of town. It's a peasant French restaurant. Which means great food at moderate prices. It's also a restaurant where you never feel rushed.
Prices about on par with TGI Fridays but the quality is not comparable !

It's pricey, but the Summit at the top of the Peachtree Plaza Hotel has excellent food and a great view...
