Very little to go by but... Check the pump circuit breaker to make sure it is not in the ''off'' or ''tripped'' position. If the pump is working (your not drenched) it may be that the ''high level alarm float'' is stuck or hanging up in the pit. If you can access the pit inspect it to see if one of the floats (looks like a ball on a wire) is hung up. Don't be afraid to gently push it free with a stick or rod. Use a flashlight, they make things so much easier!

Most likely something is preventing the float switch from dropping back down. Debris maybe. Open the pit and look around. Use a flashlight and stick or something to poke around and dislodge any debris. If that doesn't work then you may have to get the pump out of there and see up close if there's something external that's affecting the float. There is always the possibility that the float switch itself has gone out and needs to be replaced.
