It really depends upon you and how you feel and whether there are any complications. Remember that in "the old days" women sometimes delivered their babies in the fields and went right back to work. So discuss it with your doctor, and you may need to wait until after the baby is born to know for sure. You may not feel like going back to school for at least a week or two. As for being unsafe, there is nothing unsafe about it if you feel ok.

Most doctors will release you to go back to work after 6 weeks. It really depends on what you do. If you are just going to be sitting in classes, you shouldn't have a problem going back to school. If there are no complications from the delivery you should be fine. You may find that it is harder to leave the baby than you think it will be, but it should be safe.

typically they tell you to take 6 weeks off of school or work. as far as school i'm sure you can go back sooner. and how do you know the exact day you are having the baby? i'm guessing that is your due date? it's possible you could go earlier or even later than your due date. if it were me and it were feesible i would wait until summer courses to go back to school. that way it would give me time to get to know my baby and get used to being a new parent. being a new parent really affects the way your brain works. i've had two and trust me i wasn't any less smart but it sure did affect how scatter brained i was when i first had them. plus in the first few months of life is when there will be possiblilities of the baby having sleeping problems etc so you never know how much or little sleep you may get and school is important enough to wait if you can until you get past the rougher stages of the newborn phase

Wait at least a few weeks!~! Giving birth is very draining and you are going be very tired and want to spend time with your baby!~! Dont rush it cuz getting your life back too normal too early is not good for you or for your child!~! You have to give you and the baby time to rest and to bond!~! Be safe whatever you do!~!

Its okay to go back early but I would wait atleast the full 6 weeks those are the most crucial for your recovery and its a sensitive time for the baby to adjust. Plus your body has been through so much you need that time to recooperate. It will give you time to get back on track and the baby time to adjust being out of the womb

Usually you have to wait atleast 6 weeks. But for you and the baby its best to wait 3 months. You need that time to establish routines and get to know eachother and form the bond that the baby needs.

If you have a uncomplicated pregnancy you should be able to return before 6 wks. My cousin was in school when she had her first child and went back at 2wks. You would just have to take it easy and be careful not to get bumped into otherwise it should be safe.

After your 6 week check up you are able to return to your normal activites, as long as your check up goes well and everything is back in place. But your still not suppose to over do it...gradually work your self back up to ur normal routine.
