If you are not a regular exerciser, you will need to condition by doing lots of stretches. You'll need a friend/partner/somebody to help.
Sit on the floor with your legs apart like a V. Have the other person do the same in front of you. With shoes removed, have that person scoot up and use their feet on your inner thighs (about mid-thigh) and grab your arms. The person should push your legs out (slowly) as they should be pull you towards them by the arms toward themselves.
Do this as often as you can. Soon, you'll be able to do a split!

You need to stretch a lot first to get your legs to be able to spread your legs that far. You can stretch by the basics by getting on the floor and spreading your legs out and reaching for you feet. A really useful stretch is going up against the wall and lay on your back. Put your butt right on the wall and spread your legs down the wall. It will hurt a little but if you do it for a few times you will be able to get down further in your splits. You won't be able to do the splits right away so you need to stretch everyday and then you will get better.

side split stretches:
1st stretch:take a thick book and put it down on the ground then put one of your feet on it and go down into the splits position as far as u can and hold it there for like 2 minutes and switch legs.then do it without the book.
2nd stretch:put one leg straight in front and the other leg fully bended and try to touch your foot that is straight and hold it for like 1 min then switch legs.
3rd stretch do the splits as far as u can down and hold it for 1 or 2 mins and switch legs.
4th stretch:if u can do the splits then hold your front foot for 30sec-1min then sit straight and bend your back and extend your arms backwards and do it with the other leg.
middle splits:
stretch:do it as far down as u can and hold it there for 1 or 2min and rest for a few minutes and do it again.
and also yoga would help

I'm a cheerleader. And you either have to have soemone pop your legs ( you do the butterfly with your legs and have someone push them all the way down) or practice EVERY SINGLE DAY!

You just have to keep working on it. It's going to take a long time for you to train your muscles and be able to stretch them that far.
