No, because its a combined course.. english language A-level and english lit A level are very very different courses altogether... so the lang-lit course was created for a combination of both
it is NOT classed as 2 A-levels

An AS level is an AS level, no matter what subject it's in. English Language and Literature is just the name of the course, no more I'm afraid. I'm doing a Lit degree, if that applied I'd definately be doing Language and Literature!

No it doesnt. english literature and language Alevel is combined and takes half the units from lit and half from lang and counts as a one alevel. if you're doing english language alone, and english literature along then yes they are separate.

It depends on the exam board and the number of the course.
It will be one award most likely, but it could count as a Double Award AS, which is worth twice the UCAS points.
Either check the exam board's website, or ask your examinations officer at your college / school.

If you are doing Eng lang and Lit combined, this is one As if you are doing them separately they are two AS.

Are you saying that English class and Literary Development are the same course, or do you take them as individual courses? If they are the same class, it's one grade. If not, it's two.

if its 2 seperate classes then yes probably
try websites like the AQA or OCR one depending on the examing body.
