Someone else asked this, and just like the intent of his question, only recieved bigoted, uneducated answers.

We do pay tax on things we buy. We should have to pay income tax because it's unconstitutional. Which means noone should pay it. Anyone of any nationality who sells handmade crafts from their vehicle doesn't pay taxes unless they are dumb enough to claim their income. And if we do settle, we do pay property tax. So you tell me, is it really so unfair that we don't pay income tax, when it's as simple as you finding a lawyer to contest the IRS, who in every single suit filed against them in the matter has settled out of court cos they know taking tax from your income is not legal?

And we are called Roma, not Gypsies. The word people so ignorantly refer to us as is a slur on par with the "N" word.

Income tax is a "direct tax", it goes against Article I of the Constitution, 5th Amendment, and the 13th Amendment.
Wages earned from your job is not legally considered income(it's considered fair trade, service for payment).
The IRS has never adopted any regulations imposing any income tax. Failing to file a tax return is not a crime because the relevant provisions of the Internal Revenue Code have never been implemented by regulations.
The Internal Revenue Code is not a law.
The Office of Management and Budget does not require any form for the income tax imposed by section 1 of the Internal Revenue Code, and identifies section 1 of the Code as applying only to nonresident aliens.
People and many lawyers are unaware of all this and therefore get charged, illegally.
A specialised lawyer will make the IRS stop taxing your wages.
Or file a "zero return". It's legal, honest, and keeps you from having to pay, & you get a return of all tax garneshed(sp?) from wages during the year.

You are kidding yourself if you really believe that everyone who hires a lawyer to contest the IRS ends up winning. Tell that to the people who are in prison for tax fraud - and there are many of them. The argument that income tax is unconstitutional keeps popping up, but has been found many times to be incorrect.

That said, there's a vast underground economy in the US, and probably everywhere else that has taxes. People work "under the table" - for cash, no reporting, and pay no taxes. That's not restricted to any one ethnic group, or to illegal aliens - there are plenty of white, natural born citizens doing that. Doesn't make it right though.
