yes, especially at the high school and college levels. in MANY school districts, academic programs are cut from the budget before sports programs. our priorities are backward.

Yes! Given sports are a major part in today's society, you have to remember IT IS JUST A GAME!!! I mean come on those that play both professionally and non, are regarded as gods. Now they do have special talents, but THEY HUMAN.

its just because people don't have anything better to do

I have a friend who played professional baseball.

People stand in line all day to buy a souvenier for $100. Why don't they take him out for dinner if they are fans of the sport?
