The website is safe. What needs to be addressed, is the need for girls and young women to pimp themselves even in the face of certain danger.

Myspace is perfectly safe if you're not stupid about it. If your posting personal information, like your last name, then no, it isn't safe, but that isn't MYSPACE's fault for them being totally stupid about what information you tell a complete stranger. If they weren't doing it on myspace, theyd be in chat rooms, or other websites, such as facebook. If you're still afraid myspace isn't safe, then make it a friends only page, and put it on the setting that they can only request you as a friend if they know your last name or your e-mail address. Myspace is perfectly safe. Its little idiots that have no touch with reality that make it SEEM unsafe because the media just loves hearing that some girl jumped on a plane to meet someone she met online.

I have an account on my space which mind you I am 23 years old, i think personally its not safe at all there are so many people on there for the wrong reasons, im not going to explain it all just go check it out for yourself, i really think there should be two separate myspaces one for adults and one for children(under 18)

No, it really isn't that safe if someone has average hacking abilities. 3 girls in Texas where I live were killed. All had my space pages, even if it is only speculation they were stalked through them that is enough for caution. Teenagers should be monitored about what they put on their my space sites. I always counsel my niece on her content. pedophiles are also looking at my space as a source for prey. thats a scary thouhgt.
