why do people take what the bible says so literally and that it is 100% true when i disapprove of something written in it, and then when i say "well adam lived for this long" people say adam and eve are a metaphor when arent they sposed to be the 1st peopl? i dont understand, how can the bible be right about some things and wrong about other things that can be proven wrong?? that makes all religous people sinners for lying!

I feel some of the old testement is real and shows of a history of the Jewish people, but since it was written by man, I don't look at it as 100% true and accurate. Although there are some good tales in there and some good words to live by.

Religion is in a way meant to be taken literally but its more or less for moral value but there a some people that would crucify me for that statement all in all take it how you want to live your life as a good honest person and you wont have anything to worry about remember god givith and takith away but Jesus is all forgiving

the important thing to take from the bible is that people do believe in it and different parts are taken literally by different people. Just because you think its nonsense doesnt mean everybody else should or does.
