2 be left behind. No one wants to feel like a loser. And the one left behind is, because it was the other persons choice to leave. Not that the one left behind is not better off because they more than likely are. They will find someone that is meant to stay with them.

A person leaves the other to move on in life without him/her.
The person who is left behind has to come out as a survivor, change & adjust to his circumstances, get a hold on emotions & on reality.
Definitely 2 be the 1 left behind is more painful because it is something unforseen & unexpected and worse never positive .

Depends on the love between the two parties. I could care less if someone leaves me behind, but if it is someone I love, it will suck.

On the other hand, it will really hurt me to leave some one behind even if I dont know him/her. I will never leave a loved one behind!

SO, I guess it is harder to leave someone.

It depends. If you both still love eachother, then leaving someone is more painful because you know you are hurting yourself as well as them and the only thing worse then hurting yourself is knowing that in the process you also hurt the one you love. But if your partner doesn't love you anymore then being left is more painful because that's the hardest way to learn that you're love isn't returned.

to be the one Left behind ,i think ,as it would really make you feel rejected and not wanted, if you leave someone at least you know you were wanted and you made the decision to move on ,so you have the power.

I think both are tough to deal with if love is the subject. Sometimes it is difficult to separate from someone because of circumstances and sometimes it is difficult to let someone go because of circumstances. To say which is worse depends on the person.
