i don't think so. some parents use popeye as an example to get kids to actually eat spinach. because of the fact that he gets strong by eating spinach parents can always tell their children "if you eat your spinach you will grow up to be as strong as Popeye"

No way. Popeye is a manly man...he continued to eat spinach even when it was tainted with e-coli...diarrhea and all...he stays true to his roughage...that's a man.
