Sorry mate .......there's nothing PATHTIC about getting MARIED on VALATINS day.
Or...anything pathetic about getting married on St Valentines day!!!!
There's only one issue for you..other than your spelling...and that is that bless you....you've got issues with your Dad getting married again!
It's hard !!
She'll never replace your Mum so don't compare! If it makes your Dad happy...support him !! It's not your Step Mums fault so get to know her.
Having said all that...you're in the middle and shouldn't be....so I hope they're all giving you the love and support I'm sure you'll be craving!!!!
Good Luck!!!!!!

St Valentines' Day is 14th February, not 11th, and I think it's very romantic. The date should suit the couple involved. It sounds as though you and your mum don't like your step-mum, and the other registrars are a bit jaded with romance. What a shame.

Getting married on the 11th of Feb is fine, if a bit parky.
Getting married on St Valentines day, however, is just soppy.

the day before Valentines Day. Perfect. So you can spend Valentines Day with each other and share the love instead of wondering 'are the bridesmaids' dresses here?' If you have it the day before, then you can just have a great carefree time on Valentines Day. That is what i would do.

I think every day should be a valentine's day. Getting married on valentine's day seems to be of a necessity to remember the day as a wedding day and a need to get presents. An absolute work of commercialisation.

Whats wrong with that? How about the people who get married on Dec. 7th. or on St. Patricks Day?
Its their decision, just be happy if your stepmum makes your dad happy.

I think it's pathetic to get married on any holiday. Nothing lasts forever and even if it does (marriage) , one of you will eventually die, so the holiday will be forever ruined.
