I have heard that you are not supposed to wear high heels after a c-section for at least a year. What is your opinion and experience about this? I have tried to do a search online about this but couldnt find any answer. I love high heels but have not dared wearing any after my surgery; I just don't know if this is something I should really be careful about because I see celebrities who has had c-sections and within a month or two after their surgery, I see them in heels partying and stuff.

Have heard nothing of restrictions on wearing high heels after c-section...I work around this stuff every day. I suppose the usual post operative restrictions apply for a short time, usually up to 6 weeks and then anything goes. Obviously before c section you may have a balance problem but after....go for it..

It depends on how the mother's healing process. For the first 2 months, she basically, can't do too much anyways, don't even bother with high heels. But being a year is a little too long. I know people start wearing high heel again when their body is recovered.

Please dont look for answers from celebrities....wrong way to go about it. I think a year is a long time. I had a C-section and I dont see how that should be a problem. Definately waiting a few weeks after surgery is important. Maybe someone else has some suggestions...

Let me answer with a question. Why do you like high heels? I like my feet to be comfy. That's why I go barefoot all the time. High heels are bad for you in the long run cuz it puts pressure on the balls of your feet and causes bunions. As a guy, I don't think high heels are sexy. I think bare feet are much sexier.

I had an emergency c-section and my doctor didn't say anything about it. It's been over a year now and I've worn heels a few times. I haven't worn them very often, only becuase I was usually carrying my son, and believe me, heels and babies, it doesn't take long for your feet to hurt!!

they only say this because your muscles are barely sticking togther and when you wear heels you streach them out and this would mean you will get better a little slower than you would do with out them you see when you wear heels your posture changes and your body does too so the muscles in your stomach are not that strong yet!!\
hope i helped good luck to you!!

This is news to me... nobody ever told me this and i have had 2 csections, one in 1998 and one in 2005. I do not see why you could not be able to wear them after you are healed...
