He may be allergic to the lub. Its really hard to tell. There are condoms that should be fine for him to use. If he still struggles and refused to wear one then stop having sex with him. Your safety and his safety are very important. Or find a lub he can use and if its safe to use on a condom use it on a lub free condom. If he is making up some lie to try not to use a condom with you then there are some big issues here.

It is up to you, it could be a real life issue. In that case buy unlubricated condoms. If it is your belief to use extra protection, then insist on using a condom. Was he wearing a condom last night? Was he having issues? Sounds kinda shady to me if he has been using them with you for a while.

What Julie said...
While there is certainly the possibility of an allergic reaction to the lubricant, that can be solved by the purchase of non-lubricated condoms.
Don't take that excuse (or any other for that matter) for sex without a condom.

i know 3 people allergic to the spermicidal lubricant in condoms. very painful (lots of swelling - the kind you don't want!) non-spermicidal is the answer (unless allergic to latex) - durex fetherlite for example. The red packet.

I know a girl that is allegic to condems. It is because of the latex though. They make some kind of other condem out of some animal skin or something. Any way it sounds pretty gross. If your on the pill make him get an std test and then just do it without one if he is clean. If you get pregnant with that .001 percent chance then it was just meant to be.

If he is allergic then stick to foreplay until you guys can find a non-lub condom. But, I would'nt take a chance of catching something because a condom wasn't used.

I would say that he needs to find something to put on it if he wants to be with me. I dont know if he needs to buy the none lubricated ones or lamb skin but I would say hey look until I know what your all about no hanky panky with out the love glove. If you just started seeing him you dont know about how he really is. I would not risk it girl your health is WAY more important. Plus too I would get him checked. You dont know how many (nasty) girls he has fed that line to.

There are condoms for people with allergies so it is not an excuse not to wear one.STD's are nasty things so you are right to take precautions.
