Looking for a new guitar and this one looks amazing. If not this one, what would be a good choice in the same price range?

Looks aren't everything.
The C-1, if I'm not mistaken, is made for Schecter in Korea (which is NOT a bad thing) as a part of their Diamond Series, but the polyester/epoxy finish they put on the guitar makes it sound flat and dull. If you're going to buy a Schecter make sure it is U.S. made... they use better woods and a more friendly finish.

yes its an excellent guitar.
i would also recommend the Synyster Gates Standard Schecter. it is 600 dollars and its probably one of the most amazing guitars you'll ever play.
go to www.americanmusical.com and search for synyster standard and check it out.
