he should if it's what he wants to do...

whether or not he'll be any more successful...i don't know....give him a couple years

No I don't think he should, but I'm probably biased because I'm a WVU alum. Why would a guy want to leave his alma mater in the state he grew up in to coach somewhere else? I realize the money's better, but I'm sure him and his family are doing just fine making $1 million (or whatever it is he makes there - I think that's probably close) in Morgantown!

People in sports do this kind of thing all the time and it rarely ever works out for the best (Mo Vaughn leaving Boston, Steve Spurrier leaving Florida, Rick Pitino leaving Kentucky,...) - I just don't get it!

The news reports indicate that it is a done deal. That having been said, I feel that he will be a flop at Alabama. Right now he is a big fish in a relatively small pond. However, when he tries to recruit against the other SEC coaches he will have his problems. Alabama made a big deal out of having an "honest" coach when it hired Shula. Well, you can see how far honesty went in the Shula firing decision.

actually the last report from ESPN said that he is staying at WVU, which is the best fit for him. he played there in college and he has turned that team around. alabama better just keep throwing out big money and they'll get somebody to bite. it just wont be rodriguez.

The mans heart is bigger than his wallet. He shouldn't. Bama is nothing that a toilet bowl bprogram the HAD a legacy 40 years ago. Nothing since.
