No, really.

An adult.

And I have to figure that said 'adult' would _enjoy_ not getting any more in the future.

Apparently, presents for others under the same tree are still intact, though.

Hmm.

The presents didn't make it into the trash per se, but were in a bag in the place where trash in a trash bag waits before it's taken out to the garbage.

I'm not sure if it is "I am trying to cause hurt," or "I am in need of psychiatric help," or what.

hold on, I'm laffing too hard to type.

Ok, first off, I gotta agree with ^^^. We don't know the situation or anything. If it was your boyfriends gift to you and your hubby threw it away I can understand but without details its hard to answer that one.

I would take the presents out of the trash and donate them to charity or give them to someone who would appreciate the gifts. Then I would make sure not to give any presents to the person who trashed the gifts. Do you know what were the motives of the person throwing away the gifts? It sounds like the person is angry or frustrated.

Is this a child? Or an adult? Regardless....I would take the present out of the trash bag, return them to the stores if at all possible , or sell them on EBAY if not, and keep the money. They won't do it again!

If your husband did that, try to understand the reason why, and if u found out that he is a sick man and can be dangerous for your future and your kids future, do your best to find other safe alternative for you and your kids, think wise and act your good solution now before late.
But if this was an act of just someone u know, then its good cause u know what this person is so in future u will know what to do.

My little sister actually did that once. She took all her presents and put them in a garbage bag and put them aside the Christmas tree. She wanted to make sure she could see how much she got. After she went to sleep my dad and I took the bag and hide it in garage rafters. When she asked where it was my dad said he thought it was garbage and he took it to the base dump. She didn't get them until Christmas evening after she watched everyone else opening gifts. She also had to take half of what she got afterwards and donate it to a charity. (The rest of us didn't have to do it, but we also picked out something we got and donated it too.)

Trash bag, or in the trash? My wife would take gifts for those who have announced that they would not be joining us, and group them by placing them in a garbage bag. Later, she would take these gifts and package them for shipping.

I would not give them any more gifts after that, that's for sure.
