Consider a gift certificate for a bookstore, a massage, a manicure/pedicure, her favorite store or restaurant, a nearby coffee shop, a dollar amount of i-Pod music down loads, or for a couple of movie tickets. My local movie theater has a $30 gift package which includes 2 tickets and a voucher for snacks.

Other ideas:

1. Special food items - like Harry & David pears or a themed gift like a pretty serving bowl filled with really good ingredients for salad dressings (balsamic vinegar, olive oil, spices, recipe booklet, & a small whisk). You can pad the items with straw or with some kitchen towels.

2. An arrangement of seasonal bulbs that will bloom or a lovely, easy to care for plant (You can check your local florist, gardening center or Costco)

3. Holiday decorations - ornaments, candles, cute guest soaps.
