Shave first, then exfoliate. Use very warm water to ensure your skin is soft. Do not over exfoliate, maybe 2 times per week is good, but I would not suggest anymore than that!

Exfoliate first because and then shave. If you can exfoliate at night so your skin will not be aggravated and shave in the morning. I wouldn't shave and exfoliate at the same time.

The way to a better shave is by using a shaving-brush, which makes all the bristles stand on end, making it easier to clean. Shave with soap, and not foam, if you're using a brush, then apply oinments and after-shave. The act of shaving exfoliates in itself, and doing both will add unwanted stress to the skin. Do it seperately if you can. If you want to improve you skin, honey is a secret answer. Apply it just before having a bath, and it tightens and smooth the skin. The Times online usually have good articles on this sort of thing.

Well, when I shave my legs, I always exfoliate first- it makes the shave much smoother and my legs a lot softer. However, shaving is a form of exfoliation, so if your skin is at all sensitive, I would just skip that step.

Yes, I normally exfoliate before shaving my legs or private area. Then afterwards exfoliate once more. This leaves my skin feeling so Smooth and Hot!

Shaving is exfoliating. Thats one reason why men look better around their neck area. Just do one or the other.

you should shave then exfoliate. if you exfoliate first your pores will be wide open and sensitive; so shave and then you can remove the additional unwanted hair and skin during the exfoliation process.

No shave, then exfoliate. Then you moisturise, then maybe just a little lip gloss.
Sorry, I am assuming you are "differently orientated" because REAL MEN do not exfoliate, my lad. I mean, look at all the girly answers you are getting. Do us all a favour.
