It has been my observation that success and good looks are related. Has there been any research conducted to verify this? If so, what occupations have been shown to be affected by physical attractiveness? Does anyone have experience with this?

You are perfectly correct. Those considered extremely good looking are not necessarily the most successful, it is those who are not quite that good looking.

Fact is that there is a positive correlation between perceived good looks and intelligence and/or several other desirable things. Why don't you try Google Scholar for serious scientific reports on this?

No, you don´t have to be good looking to become succesful, if they´re more succesful not necesarily if you see a nice good looking girl but you don´t like her and you see a girl that is not too pretty or to ugly but you like her and it´s the one you need you will pick her, it depends on the person but is THE PERSONALITY there are some people that doesn´t looks on attractivness.

I think charisma and determination are the determining factors.

The confidence, however, of a person who maintains his or her physique, appearance, and fashion is probably much higher than one who is generally unfit, sloppy, and slovenly.

If a person can convince others he or she is attractive, s/he will be attractive.
