One thing to consider is look for jobs at your local department stores. They often need additional "seasonal" help and will most likely keep you as a permenant employee. PLUS, it is a carefree job, just show up and ring people up- easy for pregnancy. You won't make very much, but this might be somewhat of a good thing, you would still be able to get on state assistance at that income level if your are not married or your husband makes little. Programs like WIC, medicare (or medicaid whichever) are available to you. Go to your local healthcare office if your are pregnant and they will be much help in getting you signed up for all the programs available:) Good Luck, it will work out! If God brings you to it, "s"he'll bring you through it:) (I'm not christian, but I like that saying- I think it works for whatever God you believe in:)

First, make sure to get pre-natal medical care. If you have a Planned Parenthood near you, they can help you and most services are low-cost or free, depending on your income. They can help you get signed up for whatever government aid is available to you as well.
Next, try to get a job. Legally, employers cannot discriminate against you for being pregnant, but it would be so difficult to prove discrimination. If you're not showing yet, don't volunteer the information until absolutely necessary.
If you want to, you could even visit your local Social Services department for information on how to get government aid for medical care and income, help getting a job, all kinds of stuff. Social Services are not your enemy--they can help.

you wont be able to get a job because when u get bigger you wont be able to go on maternity leave. u have to be at a job for about a year to get any money on maternity leave!! so what your gonna work for 5 months and then what. plus u can get sued by the company for not letting them know that your pregnant. if u do want a job tell them that u are pregnant. yeah u probably wont get hired. but at least ur being honest and being safe. go down to the welfare office at least they can help you!!!!

If your in your first trimester get a job now. I didn't and now I'm 6 months and noone will give me a job. Start working now asap. If not then go get on welfare or tell your man to scrap up extra hours.

If you have no man there to support you, and you're early in your pregnancy, get a job...get some type of start on your life. You need financial support from somewhere even if you have to resort to state funding.

try to get a job and get on government assistance so you get health care. If you get a job that offers health care then cancel the government assistance.

Contact your local department of human services. They will help you apply for medicaid, WIC, food stamps, and cash assistance programs.
