by "Weird Al" Yankovic, it is done in the style of Soul Asylum's "Black Gold".

The song starts with Santa's elves making their presents for Christmas. Suddenly, a drunken Santa bursts in decked out with weapons galore and says "Merry Christmas to all, now you're all gonna die." He then proceeds to destroy the North Pole, bombing the workshop, tying up the elves, and killing 7 of the 9 reindeer (including Rudolph, Cupid, Comet, Dancer, Prancer, Dasher, and Blitzen) in various ways, from "slashing them up like Freddy Krueger" to "grinding them into reindeer sausage." After a while of this, the National Guard and FBI come to save the day, with the Eyewitness News broadcasting the incident and the following battle between Santa and the government forces. Finally, Santa is arrested and put in jail for 700 years, while the two surviving reindeer get therapy and the elves get jobs working for the postal service, and Mrs. Claus is on the phone negotiating a potential movie's rights. An "Extra Gory" version was made and released on the single for Amish Paradise. It differs in that Santa is killed instead of imprisoned (a guy from the SWAT team blows a hole through his head) and the elves are unemployed while Mrs. Claus still negotiates movie rights. Another "Extra Gory" version was written, with Santa still being killed but the elves all getting jobs. This was performed on the Touring With Scissors tour in 1999 and, therefore, can be seen on the "Weird Al" Yankovic Live! concert video.
