Well it's winter and Pittsburgh does not have many things to do in the winter especially for a 3 year olds. You should take him on the Inclein, the Zoo Express train at the PGH Zoo & Aquarium, I'm not sure if they still have it, but Century 3 mall usually has a Huge train set the kids can ride on and get their picture taken with santa. The Childrens museum on the north side side I'm sure he would love it there. You should also try the science center and that's all I can really think of. So I hope I helped out somewhat:)

Take him to Disneyland. Or buy him toy trains and cars for X-mas. By the way... Is he your son or something?

Take him to the local mall to visit santa. Do they have small trains in the area he could ride?
