I just got a new phone and new number. I got at least 20-30 calls last month for Vivian - she must have had the phone number before me. My cell provider will not credit me for the wrong numbers. That is soooo wrong!

It's hard, they don't like to just take your word for it. Years ago I had to get a new # because some damned fool was determined to send a fax to my cell phone - they would try probably 20 times a day, and the cell phone company was just being stupid about it. Infuriating!! - good luck!

Keep asking the phone company. If one rep. denies you, hang up and call right back until you finally get someone who WILL help you. Threaten to call Consumer Reports, the Better Business Bureau, or the FCC
