why do people always have to run some one down just cos it's not new or trendy?
shaky was an excellent entertainer in his day, and he's probably still got more go and talent than 90% of today's so called music icons! which we wont be able to remember the names of in 20 years time, let alone recall the tune of any specific song, maybe that's a bit strong as 90% of today's music starts and ends sounding exactly the same as the middle bit.
we've always had prefabricated music, written by ghost writers, performed by session musicians [including the lead vocalist] and forced down the throats of the public by trend makers who tell you that this is the in thing.
so in conclusion, shaking stevens could sing, entertain and actually perform live, how many of today's acts can actually do that without using backing tracks, a host of session musicians and singers?

answer.....not many
