Because most big film companies are run and owned by Jews and it is not really a subject I suspect they want to 'entertain.'

A couple of reasons:

1- WWII was a popular war in that we were attacked & fighting for our freedom. Everyone was behind it.

2- The Arab-Israeli was hasn't ended.

3- It is an unpopular war & in the minds of many, an unjust war.

4- There really hasn't been a war since WWII that had the backing of the majority of the people which probably accounts for the scarcity of movies re the Korean War, Vietnam & the Gulf War. Once this war is over we probably won't see but a few movies about this one. I bet what we will see will be movies about Bush & his hawkish staff & the motives behind our striking Iraq instead of putting all of our armed forces behind the war in Afghanistan.

There's a number of reasons. No matter who you support, you'll get protests and boycotts and threats and likely some negative publicity.

It's a controversial conflict. If you made a pro-Israeli movie, you'll get protests and boycotts from Palestinians and pro-Palestine groups, and maybe some protests from Jewish or Israeli groups who say it isn't sufficiently pro-Israel enough. If you made a pro-Palestine movie, you'll get protests and boycotts from Jewish groups, Israelis, AIPAC, the Anti-Defamation League, Christian Zionists, etc.

As a result, movie companies aren't willing to invest money in something that could make them lose money or upset audiences too much. Look how controversial movies like The DaVinci Code, Fahrenheit 9/11, the Passion of the Christ, Palestine is Still the Issue, Gaza Strip, and Paradise Now all got controversy, banned by certain movie theaters, and angry letters.

there are a few reasons

WWII was more clear cut on who the bad guys are and who are the good guy.

the Arab Israeli conflicts are still ongoing and so movies about them might open wounds that haven't had the chance to heal.

Hollywood usually focuses on America, and they usually like America to be the heroes. harder to do with films about Arab-Israeli conflicts but really easy to do with WWII (we turned the tide when we finally joined the war and kick Hitler's @**)

Because HollyWood doesn't want the world to know the Conspiracies Against the Palestinians, and the treasons and treachery of the Arab Leaders, nor do they want to see the Crimes against the Palestinian Children.

my history teacher says that the war in Iraq and 9-11 will be in text books, but i don't remember when she said it would be done. probably in 10 years. That event will be ancient stuff 70 years from now, and they will make movies of it , and show it at school.
