Congratulations! You're 7 weeks along, according to the schedule that medical professionals use, which goes by the date of your last period. The actual fetal age of the baby is probably about 4-5 weeks, since the actual ovulation and conception probably took place a couple of weeks after the first day of your period. It's confusing, I know.
If you don't already have pregnancy books, I recommend "What to Expect When You're Expecting" and "Great Expectations". They'll explain how doctors figure your 40-week pregnancy calendar and of course, what to expect as you continue in your pregnancy.

I'm not sure exactly..you can go to google and look up pregnancy calculator and type in your last period and it will pull up a due date. My last period was Oct. 10th and I'm 8 1/2 weeks. So, I would guess you're 6 1/2 or 7 weeks. Congratulations!

I think you should go to your doctor's and find out there. It's really important that you get checked from th every beginning when it is easy to miscarry. Your doctor will give you all the information you'll need and will answer all your questions. If you're younger than 18 and scared to go because they might tell your parents, don't worry about it and just go. Everything is confidential and no one will know. Good luck and congratulations.

well you will not find out exactly how far along you are until an ultrasound. But counting the weeks is pretty acurate. You are suppose to start counting weeks from the start of your last period. That is how far along you are.

How hard is it to count the weeks from Oct. 18 to now???? New or not you should be able to figure this one out.

WOW...I got pregnant on the same day. If this helps my due dat is July 11, 2007.
The Doc says I am about eight weeks. I have already seen the baby's heartbeat on ultrasound.

you should be 5-7 weeks, there is some calculation that they do at your appointment. Make sure you see a doctor right away!
