Is anyone else sick of seeing this ridiculous word? How and where did it come from? Isn't preggo spaghetti sauce? Please enlighten me.

People like using slang terms, preggo for pregnant, hubby for husband... uh... I'm sure there are a lot more. I don't know where it came from. I would assume that it came around on a pregnancy community/website on the Internet because someone couldn't spell 'pregnant'. Or, perhaps, because someone thought that 'preggo' was a cuter way to say 'pregnant'.

Oh, and, my mom uses Preggo spaghetti sauce. It's good.

Does it really make you sick? What are your symptoms? Have you gone to a doctor?

It is just slang; the same as the way you use the word "sick".

It's probably because people are too lazy to type out the full word. It's like Chatspeak - people say "UR kewl" instead of "You are cool." or "TTYL" instead of "Talk to you later." It's quicker, and people aren't so into talking properly.
