Could be about 100 things. You don't mention the year of the vehicle, but my guess is you charging system.
But keep this in mind, your engine needs 3 things to run, fuel, air and spark. And each of those systems can have at least 7 simple things go wrong that would cause your car to stall.
My advise to you would be to have it towed back to the dealership if it is still under warranty, or to a reputable repair shop (I don't recommend sears, but since you're already there). If it's not the charging system, or something directly related to it, I'll mail you a Starbuck gift certificate with your mailing address emailed to me.
Good luck.

a stall w/ no start up afterwards usually points to 1 of 2 things.
-Bad fuel pump
-Bad ignition module
Easy way to check, pull ignition wire off, lay it across anything grounded to the engine. Crank vehicle and watch for spark. If no spark present, 9 times out of 10 your gonna have a igniton module problem.
And for the fuel pump, depending on which engine you have, you can either check the fuel injectors in the throttle body, or you can check the Fuel rail orfice to see if fuel pressure is present.

IF IT CRANKS BUT WILL NOT START AND IS NEWER THAN A 92 FLASH THE FAULT CODES OUT AND TAKE THEM TO A MECHANIC OR GO TO CADILLAC FORUM TO DETERMINE WHAT IS WRONG. PUSH THE HEATER HIGH TEMP AND OFF BUTTONS AND HOLD TILL DASH STARTS TO GIVE YOU CODES BE PREPARED TO WRITE DOWN A LOT OF THINGS IF THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN CLEARED

Could be several things, fuel pump, plugged catylatic convertor, ignition module, are common basic thing that will cause to stall. get it scanned, see if it is getting fuel, see if it has spark, then you will have a better idea if it died.
